Take-Two is planning to take greater steps into the world of networked gaming in a bid to grow its business.

Speaking at the Piper Jaffray conference in New York, chairman Strauss Zelnick told investors that the idea is to “turn packaged goods partially into a subscription business,” reports Kotaku.

The company is experimenting with ways to incorporate microtransactions into its business, he said.

“If we can get a good model for episodic content for high quality titles, that should be a pretty profitable business because there are no hard goods associated with it.”
